Larry Bergquist and racing partner Gary Preston were the first Racing Team to ever win the Baja 1000 overall on a motorcycle. They took nearly 6 hours off the existing record with a time of 20:38 minutes on a Honda 350 Scrambler. The race started in Ensenada and ended in La Paz. Here, Larry is coming into El Arco, The halfway point, to hand the bike off to Gary. ABC's Wide world of Sports covered the event, with Jim Mckay hosting.
