Multi-instrumentalist Mike Perlowin is primarily known
as a pedal steel guitarist, but is also equally at
home on both guitar and mandolin. Mike is not known to
the general public, but due to his 2 critically
acclaimed CDs is rapidly gaining a reputation among
musicians as a notable player who thinks "outside the
box" and is producing music that is both outstanding
and truly unique. Mike currently owns 5 Raven and
Ravenwest guitars, and is planning on buying more in
the future.
"This is a true golden age of guitar building" says
Mike. "The guitars coming out of Korea today are every
bit as good as their American counterparts that cost
10 times as much. They are a Godsend to musicians who
don't have thousands to spend on a guitar, or working
musicians who don't want to take expensive vintage
instruments to gigs where they are subject to abuse or
theft."
"I think the new Ravenwest guitars are the best Korean
guitars I've ever seen. I have no problem whatsoever
using them either for live performance or recording.
and I'm proud to be associated with a company that
makes such high quality instruments."
Mike's Raven RM680 is one of the guitars used on his
recording of the song "The Jets are Gonna Have Their
Way Tonight" from his CD of the music of West Side
Story.
Raven West is honored to have such a gifted musician as Mike Perlowin enjoying our guitars and we wish him all the best for his future projects!.
